What a wonderful time it is to be a Christian! God is doing so many marvelous things among and through His chosen people. One can readily see God's handiwork all about them and especially in the body of believers at the New Point Christian Church! As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ it has been my distinct privilege to serve with the church at New Point. Since May 11, 1984, my family and I have called Indiana our home. But, the truth be known, everyone knows where our true home is, in the Commonwealth of Heaven! Heaven is the place for which the Church longs. It is to Heaven that I desire to point my fellowman. Our role as steadfast believers is to invite others to church services, to initiate a friendship to any and all we meet, and to offer the love of God to everyone. At the New Point Christian Church we believe in the Bible as the whole Word of God's truth. We believe that essentially the Church of God is one and we encourage every true believer to rally united upon the truth of that Word! There are far too many schisms and factions in existence today among those who claim Jesus as Lord. There is as much need now for the Church to be restored to the New Testament order as there was in the early 19th century when John Smith, Barton W. Stone, Alexander Campbell, and Thomas Campbell made a plea for unity among all believers. This unity is not possible through ecumenicalism. This is possible only by the laying aside of manmade creeds and doctrines that separates believer into "ites" and "isms." | Nathan Bright's life: I was born a preacher's kid and a little brother, In Indiana I was a little boy now I am an Associate Minister at a Church. In Ghana West Africa I was a teenager through and through. In Ohio I was a student for 7 years at Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary (Now known as Cincinnati Christian University). Where is my home? On earth it is where ever God leads me, but my true home is where I long for the most and that is Heaven. | ||
